The accepted poster size is 36” Tall x 48” Wide. You will find professionally designed, easy-to-use poster templates on our templates page. It is recommended that you utilize the Starter 36x48 PowerPoint Poster Template.
Posters must be 1 page and saved in PDF format. It is preferred that your poster is in Landscape orientation for better viewing. Confirm that the PDF file looks good and everything is legible when viewing at 100% magnification on your screen.
Additional resources to assist you in creating your poster:
• The UCLA Library provides a guide on creating posters here.
• Keep accessibility in-mind when designing your poster. Checkout APHA’s guidelines for accessible presentations.
• Contact your academic department at FSPH for additional assistance.
Use the "SUBMIT YOUR POSTER" button on this page to submit your poster.
Soon after you submit your poster, you will receive a confirmation, including the link to your virtual poster, a passcode for locking and unlocking your poster for viewing, and a QR code that points to your virtual poster. It takes two to three hours for your submission to be available for viewing.
All students are strongly encouraged to record a video (max. 3 minutes) of themselves explaining their poster as they would explain it to someone in a live poster session. Consider the following: What is the topic? What did you find? Why is it important?
The submission form will prompt you to narrate when you submit your poster. If you make a mistake while recording, you can stop your narration and start over as many times as needed until you are happy with the results. Please do not read your poster text or your abstract for this narration. Be sure you are in speaker view so both your face and poster/slides are recorded.
When you end the recording, your video file will be saved in the location designated in your Zoom settings (the default location is usually Documents\Zoom). Upload this file to YouTube as an unlisted video, and have the YouTube URL ready when you submit your poster.
If you need help creating your video, please contact Janet Hung at jhung@ph.ucla.edu.
IMPORTANT: Please make sure that your poster is finalized before submitting it. If you find an error in your original poster submission, DO NOT RESUBMIT. Instead, please contact us at production@posterpresentations.com or call us at 510.649.3001 for assistance. We will need your initial submission's poster ID number, your name, and the password that came with your confirmation email.
