WHO WE ARE

Established in 2007, the San Francisco Bay Area Chapter of the Albert Schweitzer Fellowship has been helping underserved communities in the area and bringing about lasting change in healthcare. Our Fellowship program prepares the next generation of professionals to serve and empower vulnerable people to live healthier lives and create healthier communities.

OUR MISSION

Develop a new generation of outstanding healthcare professionals who have a passion for service.

Improve the health and well-being of underserved Bay Area communities by providing our Fellows with the required skills and capabilities they will need to carry out the projects which they create and implement.

Create lasting changes in healthcare at a greater scale through our alumni-network by providing them with leadership development, continued networking, skill-building, and community service opportunities.

Our Sponsors

Special thanks to our generous donors and especially our academic partners who provide stipend support for our Fellows, Samuel Merritt University, Stanford University School of Medicine, Touro University, Schools of Osteopathic Medicine and Public Health, UC Berkeley Schools of Optometry and Public Health, UC San Francisco Schools of Dentistry, Medicine, Nursing and Pharmacy.
